Shamator celebrates International Literacy Day

International Literacy Day was celebrated at Shamator District on 14th September 2024, Along with the rest of the Nation, Shamator District Administration under the banner “Beti Bacho, Beti Padhoa”- Mission Sanklap celebrated International Literacy Day on the theme “Promoting Multilingual Education: Literacy for mutual understanding and Peace” with Chubatemjen, NCS DC Shamator as special guest.

The special guest in his BBBP Lunching speech highlighted about the benefits of the schemes and encouraged the girl students to avail various benefits under the schemes. Kudazo Swuro EAC HQ gave a keynote address on the purpose and objectives of BBBP. Newkai PGT GHSS Shamator who was the theme speaker spoke on the importance of literacy and Multi-lingual Education and as part of the celebratory activity a speech competition was held on the topic “The importance of Girl Child Education”. Where Dorila Y class-12, Lumzancha Z class-11 and Luntsula Geneve class-11 secured 1st 2nd and 3rd respectively. The winner were also awarded certificate with cash prize.

Further, SDO (C) Shamator, Athrong while lunching the adolescent Girls’ Club at GHSS Shamator highlighted the various activities to be undertaken under BBBP.
