NU organises one-day skill development program

Nagaland University’s Department of Tenyidie hosted a One-Day Skill Development Program on September 13, 2024, marking the beginning of a series of skill-based workshops. This initiative aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes the integration of vocational education with general education to enhance students’ entrepreneurial skills and competencies, informed a press release by the University.

The program featured Neihunuo Sorhie, a distinguished award recipient including the Padma Shri, as the resource person. She highlighted the advantages of exploring entrepreneurship and inspired students to consider diverse forms of employability.

Additionally, Sorhie conducted hands-on weaving training, providing practical experience and insights into this valuable craft.
